Cookie Policy
Cookies and browser storage
1. Your choice
The basic website works without optional services. Allow YouTube enables videos; Continue without YouTube leaves them blocked. Analytics/statistics and marketing/tracking are not used. Settings lets you review the necessary storage and optional YouTube permission. Privacy settings in the footer lets you review or withdraw permission at any time. YouTube is off by default.
2. Necessary storage
NEXT_LOCALE is a session cookie for your chosen language. yalladabka-theme is a session cookie set after you choose an appearance. Administrator authentication uses security/session cookies only during login (OAuth security up to ten minutes, authenticated session up to eight hours). yalladabka-consent is a localStorage entry, not a cookie. It stores the consent-text version, your YouTube choice, the time of your choice and expiry time for 180 days in this browser. It is not sent to our server. Remembering a privacy choice allows us to respect it; this storage is used for that purpose only (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We request a new choice after expiry, a material consent-version change, or if storage has been removed or is invalid. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page visit and may be requested again later. Clearing browser site data also removes the choice.
3. Optional YouTube videos
Provider: YouTube, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Purpose: showing videos. No YouTube player, remote thumbnail, preconnection or script loads before permission. Our placeholders and images come from our own server. Allow this video grants permission only to that player while it remains open; this is held in memory and is not saved. Allow all YouTube videos, or enabling YouTube in privacy settings, saves permission for video playback across this website. You may change a previous rejection at any video without allowing any unrelated service. After a saved permission, videos display without extra consent controls. After permission we use www.youtube-nocookie.com. Google receives your IP address, browser details and playback activity and may store/read cookies or other device data. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean no processing. Google may process data in the USA. Device access and processing based on this permission use § 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Google's technology and storage lifetimes can change; consult https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en for provider information.
4. Withdrawing permission
Choose Continue without YouTube in Privacy settings, or switch off YouTube and save. All active YouTube players on this page are removed, one-player permissions are cleared, and future players remain blocked. Saved changes are shared with other open tabs in this browser. Stop video ends permission for that individual player without changing your saved choice or permissions for other players. Closing a compact video dialog also ends its one-player permission. Withdrawal stops further player activity; it cannot undo data already sent to Google or delete cookies/storage on Google's domains. You can manage those through your browser and Google account controls. The lawfulness of processing before withdrawal is unaffected.
5. Links and other functions
Google Forms, external ticket providers, Google Calendar, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube profile links are ordinary outgoing links. We do not embed those services or load their resources automatically. Choosing a link opens the provider's website; that provider is responsible for its own consent choices and privacy information. Clicking a link is not consent to the provider's tracking. Our locally generated story images do not use tracking or send the entered name to a service. More information about the controller, hosting, contact enquiries, recipients, transfers and your rights is in the Privacy Policy at https://yalladabka.de/en/datenschutz.
